A friend shared with me yesterday, about a little-known park outside the town in which we live. There are trees in the park which have been bent and shaped while they were growing hundreds of years ago by the Native Americans that lived in this area. It’s believed this was done to act as markers and point out directions much as our road signs provide directions to us today.
The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch you.
Psalm 32:8
Sometimes I get so caught up in trying to please others, in checking items off my to-do list, and trying to keep order in my life, I forget to let God guide me along my journey. Native Americans used the trees to guide them; we have God’s words to guide us. To hear Him though, we need to take time from our busy days, to sit with Him, to listen to Him, and to be in His word.
Just for today – make time to spend with God talking with Him about your journey and then listen for His guidance.
Search for the Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him.
1 Chronicles 16:11
Have a blessed day!
